Have you served in conference room and background capacities at Emmaus Walks and/or Chrysais Flights?
Isn't it a wonderful experience to serve God AND be with a lot of your new best friends? It is exhilarating and a place of joy to be a humble servant of Agape love for our sisters in Christ. We come together with sleeping bag in hand, leave our makeup at home and faithfully serve for 72 hours. In those 72 hours we forge friendships that will last a lifetime. But....do you know what's missing? A chance to sit and relax and just be friends. This Joy Retreat weekend will change all that. The scenario is the same in that you will still bring your sleeping bags, snacks to share, a spirit of cooperation (no pen and paper in hand), no showers ,no makeup (if you choose) and you will be with fellow servants of Emmaus/Chrysalis. What's different? You will be served with love and laughter, meditation, relaxation, and joy, joy joy. No work, just play! Come prepared to laugh and visit with your new best friends and be given the opportunity to just receive each other's friendship in a relaxed and humorous setting. Cost is just $50. We may take a free-will offering on Sunday if needed. Bring snacks and beverages to share. We are working on a very limited budget in order to provide this weekend as a gift. WHAT TO BRING
